Lee Bauman
President
Lee Bauman, Founder and President of Superior Energy Services has been in the Electric Utility Industry for almost 20 years. He graduated from Stark State College of Technologies with a degree in Electric Power Utility Technology accompanied by the completion of his full-time Substation Technician apprenticeship program through Power Systems Institute / FirstEnergy. Lee followed up his education with time spent at Siemens Relay and Control group and Electric Power Systems testing before he took a significant role as lead substation Technician at The City of Vero Beach in Florida. In 2007, Lee relocated home in Ohio to take on a role with the then HD Supply Utilities.
Lee would spend the next 10 years at HD Supply/Anixter holding positions of Lead Substation Estimator, Service Manager, and finally Senior Alliance Development Manager. In his role as Senior Alliance Development Manager, he was responsible for cultivating mutually beneficial business opportunities, requiring he and his team’s hands-on implementation, stabilization, and management of several Materials Management / Procurement contracts around the US.
In 2017 Lee decided to step away from Anixter to follow his Entrepreneurial dreams and start his own sales and services company. Superior Energy Services was formed in late 2017 and operated as a Strategic Utility Sales Representation and Field Materials Management company. In 2020 he expanded his business by bringing on operational and procurement expert Michael Bauman.

Mike Bauman
Vice President of Operations
Michael Bauman, Vice President of Operations at Superior Energy Services, has over 20 years of experience in Operations, Supply Management, Procurement, and Inventory Control. This experience spans a multitude of industries including mobility, industrial manufacturing, telecommunications, and Wastewater treatment at major corporations such as Siemens, Thyssen Krupp, US Steel, and Alcoa.
Before joining SES, Michael was assigned the role of Operations Manager where he was responsible for process improvement and operational efficiencies that turned around a failing kitting and packaging warehouse. This improved operation went on to provide full-scale kitting and logistical services for a large contract in the telecom industry. His final position, before joining SES, was as Lead Project Buyer at Siemens Mobility. Here he maintained the responsibility of both procurement and materials project management to ensure all resources were on-site in a timely manner to meet production needs, this also included all emergent and hot-shot needs.
In 2020, Michael brought his focused experience of operational and supply chain management to Superior Energy Services.
